About Shanghai Ocean Aquarium

An indoor aquarium beside the Oriental Pearl Tower, opened in 2002, with about 450 species laid out as a journey from the Yangtze through South America, Australia, Africa, South-East Asia and Antarctic waters. Highlights are the China Zone of Yangtze species such as the Chinese sturgeon and giant salamander, and a long underwater tunnel where sharks and rays swim overhead. It suits families and rainy days.
