About Nanfeng Kiln
A Ming-dynasty dragon kiln in Shiwan, built on a slope in 1506–1521 and fired continuously for about 500 years, a record recognised by Guinness World Records. The sloping brick kiln is 37.8 m long with 34 rows of stoking holes, and it forms the centre of a ceramics quarter with the Gaozao kiln, the Guangdong Shiwan Ceramics Museum, a street of ceramic-figure shops and workshops where visitors can try making pottery.
