About Mount Chaya

A granite massif on the eastern edge of the Funiu Mountains, a national geopark whose main scenic area of about 50 km² is crowded with weathered rock pinnacles, caves and small lakes carved from granite about 140–120 million years old. It was a filming location for CCTV's Journey to the West television series, and the scenic area has added a dry 'sky rafting' run nearly 2 km long, a moving walkway up the slope and a cliff-side slide.
