About Taierzhuang Ancient Town

Taierzhuang is a Grand Canal port town that was badly damaged in the 1938 battle and rebuilt in old canal-town style between 2009 and 2013, covering about 2 km². It has lanes and canal waterways with boat rides, dozens of small themed museums and evening shows, and it contains the North Mosque of 1742, one of the buildings in the national battlefield-site listing. It suits a day of wandering on foot, and the memorial hall and old railway station about 1.5 km to the west add the wartime history.
