About Longshan Grottoes and Tongzi Temple Site

A small group of nine Taoist cave shrines on the summit of Mount Long, most of them cut from 1234 under the Quanzhen priest Song Defang, with Yuan-dynasty figures of the Three Pure Ones and the Seven Perfected. Many of the statues have lost their heads to theft. Close by are the remains of Tongzi Temple, founded in 556 under the Northern Qi, with a worn cliff-side Buddha relief and a six-sided stone lamp tower about 4 m high, in hills known for lilac in spring and red leaves in autumn.
