About Three Houses of the Cheng Family
Three Ming-dynasty houses of the Cheng family at Nos. 6, 7 and 28 Baishu Dongli Lane in Tunxi, the oldest begun at the end of the Yuan or start of the Ming. Each is a closed two-storey brick-and-timber house of two halls around a light well, with wood, brick and stone carving typical of Ming Huizhou homes; the older houses around them were cleared in 2007, and they now stand amid a new shopping street in old style.
