About Zhenhai Bridge
A seven-arch stone bridge, 133 m long, across the Heng River at the western end of Tunxi Old Street, near where the Shuai and Heng rivers meet to form the Xin'an, linking the old town with Liyang on the far bank. Recorded by 1491 and rebuilt in 1699, it was swept away by a flash flood in July 2020; its stones were salvaged and the restored bridge reopened in December 2021.
