A rammed-earth mound of the Sixteen Kingdoms period, said to be what remains of a nine-tier reviewing platform built by Tufa Hutai, crown prince of Southern Liang, with room below for 100,000 troops according to the records. Only the mound survives, known locally as the commander's terrace, and it stands in a small heritage park in Xining's Chengxi district.
