About Main Hall of Xingfu Temple, Yanshi

The one surviving hall of Xingfu Temple, founded in 1509 and repaired under the Kangxi emperor and again in the Republican era; the courtyard around it later served as the Gaoya village school. The hall has a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof of green glazed tiles, and inside its timber frame is built differently on each side, with long beams on the east and full-height columns on the west, a layout known locally as 'east beams, west columns'.
