About Mount Longhu

Red sandstone peaks, cliffs and caves rise above the Luxi River south of Yingtan, in a landscape that is one of the six parts of the China Danxia World Heritage Site (2010) and an old centre of Daoism. The main visit is a bamboo-raft ride on the river beneath the cliffs of Xianshuiyan, where ancient cliff coffins can be seen, with walks to viewpoints and the Immortal City area. The Tianshi Mansion and Shangqing Palace are in Shangqing town, about 9 km to the south-east.
