About Da'an Temple Pagoda, Yiwu

A six-sided, five-storey brick pagoda beside Xiuhu Lake in central Yiwu, built in the 12th century for a temple that has since vanished and the oldest brick-and-timber structure in the city. Its timber eaves, balconies and spire are lost, but brick imitations of timber columns and brackets survive, as do bricks inscribed with the names of its donors; it stands about 23 m high.
