About Zhengzhou Mosque

Zhengzhou's oldest and largest mosque, also called the Beida Mosque after nearby North Street, with origins no later than the Ming and traditional Chinese-style buildings dating from the mid-Qing onwards. Facing east, it has a hip-and-gable gate, a two-storey moon-watching tower whose stone columns carry couplets in Chinese and Arabic, and a prayer hall made of several linked roofs; it is still in use for worship.
