About Zhoucun Ancient Commercial City

A preserved merchant quarter in Zhoucun District, built around Dajie (Main Street) and the silk-market and silver-market streets, with more than 50,000 sq m of Ming and Qing buildings in a 60-hectare area. Zhoucun grew into an inland trading hub and was opened as a commercial port in 1904.
