Qi's old capital, paper-thin sesame flatbreads and a barbecue craze

About Zibo
Zibo holds the ruins of Linzi, capital of the ancient state of Qi and one of the largest and richest cities in China in the Spring and Autumn period. The Qi Culture Museum and the China Ancient Cart Museum, with its chariot-and-horse pit, recall that age, while Zhoucun Ancient Commercial City keeps old trading-town buildings and Boshan makes ceramics and glass. In 2023 Zibo's barbecue went viral, and special barbecue trains ran for visitors.
