About Hong Kong
Hong Kong crowds a dense, vertical city onto steep islands and peninsulas around Victoria Harbour, where the Star Ferry still shuttles between Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. Much of its land is country park, threaded with hiking trails that lead to quiet beaches and fishing villages. Cantonese culture runs deep here, from dim sum halls and roast-meat shops to incense-filled temples and summer dragon boat races.
