Zhuzhou 株洲Zhūzhōu
Locomotive works, Liling porcelain and the tomb of the Fire Emperor

About Zhuzhou
Zhuzhou, where the Beijing–Guangzhou and Shanghai–Kunming railways meet, was one of the first cities the People's Republic built up for industry, and it still makes electric locomotives. Liling, to the east, is known for underglaze-painted porcelain, claims the inventor of fireworks as a native, and keeps the old Lujiang Academy by its river. In Yanling County in the far south, the Mausoleum of the Yan Emperor has been the officially honoured tomb of the legendary ancestor since the Song dynasty.
