About Changchun Daotai Yamen (Local Chronicles Museum)
A regional government compound built in 1909 in the last years of the Qing dynasty and the earliest surviving official building in Changchun, with colonnaded halls in a Western-influenced style. Puyi took his oath as chief executive of Manchukuo in its main hall on 9 March 1932. It reopened in December 2018 as the Changchun Local Chronicles Museum, with an exhibition on the city's history in the main hall and a recreation of Puyi's office and living room in a side hall; it was previously the city's urban-construction exhibition hall.
