About Xumi Fushou Temple

A Qing temple built in 1780 as a residence for the 6th Panchen Lama, who came to Chengde for the Qianlong Emperor's 70th birthday, and modelled on Tashilunpo Monastery in Shigatse. Its main block is the Great Red Terrace, whose central Miaogao Zhuangyan Hall has a roof of gilded copper tiles with eight gilded dragons, and a seven-storey glazed-tile pagoda stands at the rear. It lies next to Putuo Zongcheng Temple, so the two are easily combined.

How to get to Xumi Fushou Temple
