About Memorial of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea

This national first-grade museum on Yinghua Mountain in Dandong is devoted to the Korean War, which China calls the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and to the campaign in China to support it. The complex has an exhibition building with halls on the war, the home-front campaign, Sino-Korean ties and those who died, a panorama hall with a large painting of the 1950 Chongchon River battle, a 53 m memorial tower and an outdoor park of displayed weapons, with views toward Sinuiju across the river. It reopened in 2020 after a refit that began in 2014 and holds more than 20,000 relics, according to the provincial tourism page.
