About Daguan Lou and Daguan Park

A lakeside park in south-western Kunming whose focal point is Daguan Lou, a three-storey Qing-dynasty pavilion facing south over Dian Lake towards the Western Hills. The pavilion is known for the long couplet by the Qing scholar Sun Ran on its gateposts, reputed to be the longest in China, and the willow-lined park around it is a local favourite for tea, kite-flying and boating.
