About Baishi Mountain

Baishi Mountain is the northern end of the Taihang range, a block of pale marble and dolomite in Laiyuan County whose jagged peaks poke out of low cloud on overcast days. Walkways run along its cliffs, including two glass-floored skywalks opened in 2014 and 2015, and stretches of old Great Wall lie around the foothills. It forms part of the Fangshan UNESCO Global Geopark, which also takes in Shidu and Yesanpo.
