About Xiaoping Path, Nanchang
Deng Xiaoping and his wife Zhuo Lin were sent to Xinjian county, Jiangxi, in October 1969, during the Cultural Revolution, and stayed until February 1973; he worked at the county tractor repair factory and walked each day between it and his residence, a route later called the Xiaoping Path. The site keeps the workshop where he worked, with his bench and tools, the path with a visitors' walkway, an exhibition hall opened in 2013 with six display sections, and the former residence, which stands in the grounds of what is now the Nanchang Army Academy.
