About Fuxi Temple, Tianshui
A Ming-dynasty temple to Fuxi, the legendary forefather of Chinese civilisation, laid out as a series of courtyards along one axis on Fuxi Road in the old part of Tianshui. An opera stage across the road, a memorial archway, a gate and a ceremonial gate lead to the double-eaved Xiantian Hall, which holds a painted statue of Fuxi, and the Taiji Hall behind it. A large public memorial ceremony for Fuxi is held here every year, and the historic Fuxi City streets lie just outside.
