About Golden Bauhinia Square
Golden Bauhinia Square is a waterfront plaza in Wan Chai, next to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Its centrepiece is the six-metre gilded Forever Blooming Bauhinia sculpture on a red granite base, a gift from the Central Government to mark the 1997 handover, beside the 20-metre Reunification Monument. A flag-raising ceremony is held here daily, and the square has wide views across the harbour.
