About Huangling Village

Huangling is a hillside village of Ming and Qing Huizhou-style houses; its residents were moved to a new village at the foot of the hill, and the old houses were restored for visitors, with cable cars linking the two. It is known for terraces of rapeseed flowers in March and April and for the autumn custom of drying chillies, pumpkins and flowers on large bamboo trays set out on roofs and window ledges. The UN World Tourism Organization named it one of its Best Tourism Villages in 2023, and it became a national 5A scenic area in 2024.
