About Yangzhou Museum & China Block Printing Museum
Yangzhou's main museum shares a modern building beside Mingyue Lake with the China Block Printing Museum, so the pair is known locally as the 'Double Museum'; both opened here in 2005. The galleries trace the city's history from the Neolithic to the late Qing, with special emphasis on woodblock printing and shipbuilding. The best-known piece is a Yuan-dynasty blue-glazed vase with a white dragon, one of only three known.
