About Heihe
Heihe stands on the south bank of the Amur directly across from the Russian city of Blagoveshchensk, joined to it by a road bridge completed at the end of 2019. Inland, the volcanoes of Wudalianchi Volcanic Field last erupted about 300 years ago and dammed a river into five linked lakes, now a UNESCO Global Geopark. Aihui History Museum recalls the old Qing garrison town on the Amur, and Xinsheng Oroqen Folk Village presents the Oroqen, a people of forest hunters.
