About Anren Ancient Town

Anren is a market town on the western edge of the Chengdu Plain, listed among China's historic towns in 2005, with well-preserved streets of traditional western Sichuan architecture. Its main sights are the Liu Family Manor, a sprawling landlord estate built by the Liu Wencai family from the late Qing onwards and now a national heritage site, and the Jianchuan Museum Cluster, a large private group of museums on 20th-century Chinese history. Between them they easily fill a full day.
