About Guangji Temple
A working Buddhist temple and headquarters of the Buddhist Association of China since 1953, rebuilt in the 1450s on a Jin-dynasty site and named Hongci Guangji Temple in 1466. Its Ming-plan courtyards hold a white-marble ordination platform of 1698, a bronze incense tripod from 1793 and halls of Ming statues, with a large Qing finger painting behind the main altar.
