About Victoria Park
Victoria Park opened in 1957 on reclaimed land where the Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter once stood, and covers more than 190,000 square metres. It has a large central lawn, tennis courts, football pitches, a jogging path, a swimming pool and playgrounds, with a statue of Queen Victoria at the main entrance. Locals come for tai chi at sunrise, and the park hosts the Hong Kong Flower Show, Lunar New Year flower markets and Mid-Autumn Festival lantern displays.
