About Qimu Que Gates

A pair of stone gate pillars built in AD 123 in front of a Han shrine to the mother of Qi, son of Yu the Great, who in legend turned into the split boulder that still lies about 190 m to the north. Each pillar, just over 3 m high, is built of stacked stone blocks and capped with a carved imitation of a tiled roof. With the Taishi and Shaoshi gates it is one of the three Han 'que' of Mount Song in the Historic Monuments of Dengfeng World Heritage site.
