About Yicihui Stone Pillar
The Yicihui Stone Pillar is a 7 m limestone pillar of the Northern Qi dynasty on a small mound in Shizhu village, set up as a memorial to the defeat of the Ge Rong uprising against the Northern Wei, at a mass grave of rebels where an earlier wooden post had stood. An octagonal shaft carries more than 4,000 characters of inscription explaining why it was raised, topped by a small three-bay stone house with carved eaves and Buddha figures, and a protective pavilion has stood over it since not long after 1956.
