About Entrance Tower and Enclosing Walls of Lo Wai, Lung Yeuk Tau

Lo Wai is the earliest of the five walled villages that the Tang clan founded at Lung Yeuk Tau, after their ancestors branched out from Kam Tin in the 14th century. Brick walls enclose the village on all four sides and most of them are intact, and the entrance tower was moved from the north side to its present position facing east for feng shui reasons. The tower and walls were declared monuments in 1997 and fully restored in 1998.
