About Tang Ancestral Hall, Ping Shan

The main ancestral hall of the Tang clan of Ping Shan, built by Tang Fung-shun in the Yuan dynasty, is among the finest three-hall, two-courtyard buildings in Hong Kong. Two drum platforms with granite and red sandstone columns front the hall, and a raised red sandstone path joins the first two halls. It is still used for ancestral worship and festivals, and stands on the Ping Shan Heritage Trail, which opened in 1993 as the first of its kind in Hong Kong.
