About Guanyin Hall, Datong
A small Buddhist temple on a low hill west of Datong, first founded under the Liao dynasty and rebuilt in 1651 under the Qing. What survives is a screen wall, an opera stage, the main Guanyin Hall and the Sanzhen Hall. It stands just north of the road to Yungang, so it can be added to a trip to the grottoes.
