About Jinsha Site Museum

The museum stands on the Jinsha site in western Chengdu, a centre of the ancient Shu culture discovered in 2001 and dated to roughly 1250–650 BC. A large hall covers part of the excavations, and the exhibition halls show gold, jade, bronze and stone finds, among them the Golden Sun Bird gold foil, now the emblem of China's cultural heritage, and kneeling stone figures. It continues the story told at Sanxingdui, whose culture Jinsha succeeded.
