About Bonham Road Government Primary School
The school building on Bonham Road was put up in 1940 and 1941 for Northcote Training College, the first full-time teacher training college in Hong Kong, and it has housed the primary school since 2000. Its three-storey, E-shaped main block is a prominent example of Streamline Moderne, with curved corners, horizontal lines and little ornament. Air-raid shelters from the war years survive inside, and the building was declared a monument in 2021.
