About Tai Fu Tai Mansion

Tai Fu Tai Mansion was built in 1865 as the home of Man Chung-luen of the Man clan of San Tin, who held the title of dafu, a senior official. It is a fine example of a scholar-gentry dwelling in southern China, a two-hall, three-bay house with side chambers, and the Antiquities and Monuments Office counts it among the most richly decorated historic buildings in Hong Kong. A full restoration was completed in 1988.
