About Hau Ku Shek Ancestral Hall

Hau Ku Shek Ancestral Hall stands in Ho Sheung Heung. It was built in the late Ming dynasty to commemorate the clan's 17th-generation ancestor Hau Ku-shek and renovated around 1762, and follows the traditional three-hall, two-courtyard layout, with red sandstone drum platforms and a door frame on the facade, richly decorated roof ridges and carved beams. The two-storey rear hall was once a village school, and the Hau clan still holds ceremonies in the hall.
