About Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb

The Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb is a brick burial chamber, dated by its structure, brick inscriptions and burial objects to the Eastern Han dynasty (AD 25–220), found in 1955 when a hillside was levelled for the Lei Cheng Uk housing estate. The tomb itself is closed for conservation, but visitors can look in through a glass panel at the entrance passage. An exhibition hall beside it, a branch of the Hong Kong Museum of History, displays the pottery and bronze finds and explains how the tomb was discovered and built.
